The Opportunity

Oasis Collections was very aware of how overcrowded the accommodations – and especially shared accommodations – landscape is. They needed to stand out and gain some exposure. Phocuswright’s conferences are the place to find the most disruptive and creative companies in travel, so demonstrating onstage brings companies the recognition so essential to startups.

The Solution

To promote awareness of Oasis Collection as the top luxury private accommodations marketplace and provider of social outlets like exclusive private members clubs, Phocuswright Innovation used various tactics.
Each contestant has 10 minutes onstage in front of the industry’s most savvy audience to demonstrate their solutions. Additionally, each company has a dedicated booth in the Exhibitor Showcase where interested attendees ask questions, make partnerships and deals. The event flow allows for maximum foot traffic through the Exhibitor Showcase. Demonstrating companies also receive logo placement on the Phocuswright event website and event emails.

The Results

As the CEO and co-founder, Parker Stanbury, puts it, “I think we achieved our objectives. The opportunity to present our innovation in front of a select audience, and the fact that we won the Innovator of the Year award, definitely generated awareness and credibility. And I had some valuable meetings that I expect to translate into increased traction for Oasis soon.”
