Tammy Peter serves as vice president of hotel distribution strategy and support at Wyndham Hotel Group, one of the world’s leading hotel brand franchisors and hotel management services providers with more than 8,100 hotels across 79 countries under 19 brands. A hospitality veteran with more than 25 years of experience, she was named to her current role in 2015 and oversees management for the company’s central reservation systems as well its strategy and operations for indirect and external distribution channels.
Prior to leading Wyndham’s distribution efforts, Peter served as vice president of hotel marketing services, tasked with development and implementation of field marketing for Wyndham’s global portfolio with an emphasis on delivering global revenue programs at the local level. She joined the company under its predecessor in 2000 as senior director, distribution services.
Earlier in her career, Peter served six years as director of distribution marketing for what is now Pegasus Solutions, a leading hospitality technology provider, managing relationship and marketing strategies while negotiating agreements with emerging third-party distribution providers. Previously, she held a variety of distribution and sales roles with companies like Travel Resources Management Group and Treadway Reservations Services. She began her career with Embassy Suites creating and leading the GDS team.
Peter is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. A frequently invited speaker at events throughout the hospitality industry, she’s a 2009 recipient of the HEDNA Award of Excellence and is based in Wyndham Hotel Group’s Parsippany, N.J. offices.
