Daniel Holl is the Head of Global Hotel Sales for trivago, the world’s largest hotel metasearch—serving over 120 million visitors per month and receiving 4 million requests per day.
Daniel leads a team responsible for several core areas of trivago’s global business model, including handling all B2B sales and taking care of the company’s client accounts. They work to establish connectivity partnerships, to give both hotel chains and independent hotels effectual connectivity solutions for their booking systems. The team’s third area of focus is a cooperation with online travel agencies on behalf of the hotel chains, enabling the latter to compete in a metasearch marketplace.
For the past five years, Daniel has also been managing trivago Direct Connect—trivago’s most advanced solution yet for increasing a hotel’s direct bookings. Under his direction, Direct Connect consistently drives high volumes of qualified traffic directly to the local websites of over 150 hotel chains around the world, including Hilton, Best Western, InterContinental Hotel Group, and Accor.
Daniel, who has been with trivago since 2009 and has over 13 years of experience in the travel and hospitality sector, is also an expert on the metasearch integration of any system serving the distribution chain of the hospitality sector, as well as on the technical viability and sustainability of these systems.
