Chinmai Sharma President- Americas
Chinmai is a seasoned travel industry professional with more than two decades of global experience in the fields of Travel Technology, Electronic Distribution and Commercial optimization. Chinmai currently serves as President-Americas for RateGain based out of their Dallas, TX office. RateGain is a leading provider of SaaS products, which help travel and hospitality companies with cognitive revenue management, smart e-distribution, and brand engagement with the goal of maximizing revenue every day.

Before joining RateGain, Chinmai was the Chief Revenue Officer of Taj Hotel Group (IHCL) where he held group level responsibility for global sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution, digital, loyalty & analytics. He has also held leadership roles with companies like Starwood Capital Group based in Paris, Wyndham Hotel Group in New Jersey, Joie de Vivre Hotels (now part of Hyatt) in San Francisco and with Expedia Inc. in Bellevue, WA.
Chinmai is a Hotel Management graduate along with a B.A. with Math and holds a joint MBA from IMHI/ESSEC Business School, Paris and Cornell Hotel School (M.M.H), New York. Chinmai has held advisory board roles with travel technology companies like Sabre as well as with some Travel Tech start-ups. He is currently a mentor with the start-up incubator at NYU Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality Innovation Hub (HI Hub) and a board member for non-profit hospitality associations HSMAI and HEDNA. He has been named as one of the 'Top 20 Extraordinary minds within Sales, Marketing and Technology' by HSMAI Europe.

Chinmai speaks regularly at industry events and contributes to educational institutions. He has been a visiting fellow at the Sheffield Business School at Sheffield Hallam University in United Kingdom and speaks often to students at educational institutions like Les Roches Hospitality School Switzerland, ESSEC Business School Paris, NYU and Cornell University.
