Joshua Roebig VP Corporate Innovation Programs
Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia - Josh spent the early part of his career working as an
accountant consulting for SME’s including startups. Realising being a bean counter was not his
calling and with a deep love of travel & adventure, he took an opportunity to work in the Corporate
Development & Strategy team at Flight Centre.

His time at Flight Centre took him from Brisbane to the US, living in Manhattan, where he spent the
past 5 years as the VP of Finance for Flight Centre’s Corporate Travel Brands (FCM & Corporate
Traveler) – two businesses partnering with some of the world’s most well-known US & Global brands
and generating +USD2b in sales.

Across his time at Flight Centre, Josh has been a part of teams leading investments & acquisitions in
the leisure, supply & corporate space including a student OTA, DMCs, independent agencies, MICE,
corporate TMCs and tech/product solutions across the group along with executing plenty of
commercial partnerships.

Whilst the pandemic crippled much of the industry, Flight Centre was well positioned as a publicly
listed Australian company to raise capital to continue to invest in our future roadmap which included
making significant investments in our technology & product. Josh was fortunate to lead two amazing
acquisitions during this time including WhereTo a B2B travel platform founded by Ryan Wenger and
Shep a unique information sharing browser extension founded by Daniel Senyard (a 2019
phocuswright hot startup) – these acquisitions have become foundation tech in our corporate
businesses.

More recently, Josh has returned to Brisbane where his passion for travel innovation & disruptive
technologies has seen him take on the role as Global VP Corporate Innovation Programs with a remit
to drive external innovation opportunities within the group.

When he is not cheering on the Yankees, indulging in his passion for golf or chasing his 2 year old
around the park, Josh is working to support early stage travel companies work with Flight Centre to
test ideas & solutions, find product market fit, help with financial questions & advice and ultimately
support the business to grow through partnership and/or investment with a leading global travel
company.
