Gonzalo García Estebarena is CEO of Despegar. He joined the company in 2017 and, over the years, held key positions including Chief Commercial Officer for five years, leading Marketing and Product, and Chief Technology Officer from 2022 until his appointment as CEO in April 2026.

He has over 15 years of solid experience in key positions within the industry. Before joining Despegar, he worked for six years at the LATAM Airlines Group from 2011 to 2017, where he held various roles including Vice President of International Revenue Management and Global Head of Sales. Previously, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company from 2003 to 2011.

Gonzalo García Estebarena holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and earned an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
