Jerry Hu Vice President
Mr. Hu Chenjie (Jerry) was appointed the position as the Vice President in Alibaba Group in 2016.

Mr. Hu Chenjie has more than 25 years of experience in the civil aviation industry, with an extensive network and profound understanding of the aviation business. He has worked in IT construction and management, e-commerce, customer service optimization and improvement, SkyTeam alliance and many other sectors. Starting his career as a C language programmer, Mr. Hu Chenjie has worked in Travelsky, China Southern Airlines, SITA Inc. and other companies. His diverse work experience in China, Singapore and the United States gave him an international background and global insight. Mr. Hu has also served as the Executive Vice President of China's largest IT distributor, Digital China, for nearly a year.

He has full of creative inspirations and has good means of information leading business innovation and transformation. During his 8 years’ work in China Southern Airlines as the Chief Information Officer, he founded the Southern Airlines Algorithm Research Institute, and led several business innovations for China's civil aviation, including developments of China’s first e-ticket, first electronic shipping bill, first digital boarding pass, and first WeChat public account.

Mr. Hu Chenjie studied in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and obtained Bachelor of IT engineering degree. He also obtained EMBA from Tsinghua University in 2011.
