Mark McSpadden is vice president of Global Product Strategy and Digital Experience for American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) responsible for leading all of GBT's product strategy globally and driving product revenue. In addition to helping execute GBT's product roadmap, he will work closely with the commercial team to help drive the Company's product and tech value proposition directly with clients.
Prior to joining GBT, McSpadden was vice president of Direct Distribution and Digital Experience at Sabre Hospitality. Mark's tenure at Sabre included roles in Travel Network, Hospitality Solutions, and Technology, where he previously served as vice president of Emerging Products & Technology and Head of Sabre Labs.
McSpadden's travel industry expertise has allowed him to seamlessly pair design, technology, and innovation to acquire customers and optimize conversions on digital platforms such as web, mobile, social, and chat. In addition to his deep experience of the industry, he has an extensive ecommerce and technology background in areas from financial services to retail.
His career in the tech and travel industry has made him a sought-after voice and a key industry thought leader. He has spoken at conferences and events across the globe including TEDx, AI World, ITB Berlin, GBTA, and HTNG.
McSpadden holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University.
