With over 20 years of travel industry experience, Rob serves as Google’s Managing Director of global sales for the travel sector. In this role, he is responsible for sales strategy and relationship management for Google’s largest travel advertising clients. Rob oversees global deal activity with these partners and leads a team whose focus is to transform the way travel marketers connect with consumers using digital media and analytics.
Prior to joining Google, Rob was Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Expedia Inc., the world’s leading online travel company. During his seven year career at Expedia, Rob managed a team that had global hotel responsibility, generating gross bookings in excess of $2 billion.
Rob is active in the hospitality industry and community affairs. He currently serves on the US Travel and Tourism Advisory Board (TTAB) and is on the executive committee for the World Travel and Tourism Council. In addition, Rob is on the advisory board for Stop Poaching Now and Redeam. Twice Rob has been listed among HSMAI’s Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing and was previously chair of the association.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
