Tara Hyland is the owner of Tara Hyland Travel, LLC an independent affiliate of Departure Lounge, a member of the world's leading luxury travel network, Virtuoso. Her focus as a luxury travel advisor is designing ultimate vacation experiences for her discerning luxury clients.

Tara's travel career spanning 35 years includes sales, marketing and management in both corporate and leisure sectors of the industry with the last 25 years focusing solely on luxury leisure sales and marketing . Tara was formerly Director of Leisure Marketing for Navigant Vacations and CWT Vacations for 14 years prior to becoming an independent travel advisor in 2016 at which time she formed Tara Hyland Travel, LLC. In 2006, Virtuoso Luxury Travel Network in conjunction with Virgin Galactic created an exclusive opportunity to Virtuoso member travel advisors to apply to become an "Accredited Space Agent" (ASA) to support Virtuoso's sales of Virgin Galactic's sub­ orbital space flights in North America for which Virtuoso has an exclusive marketing agreement. Tara applied and was selected from over 200 applicants to become one of the first 36 travel advisors to have the opportunity to complete the training to become an ASA and begin marketing the program. She subsequently sold three Virgin Galactic sub-orbital seats and looks forward to seeing her clients achieve their dreams of spaceflight.

Tara recently had the privilege of being invited to attend the first private astronaut spaceflight, Galactic 02" on August 10, 2023 at Spaceport America in New Mexico. The experience of seeing the first private citizens achieve their dream of space flight only served to reinforce her enthusiasm for the objectives and rewards of space tourism for private citizens.
