Flo Lugli is an innovative, results-oriented board member and executive with a proven track record of driving revenue
growth in the global travel, hospitality, and related technologies businesses for publicly and privately held companies.
A well-known expert in hospitality, Lugli also has a long history in travel industry distribution, travel technology, and
digital commerce. Lugli has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales, Marketing, and
Revenue Optimization by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), as one of the Top 100
Most Powerful People in USA Hospitality by the International Hospitality Institute, and has recently been inducted into the PhocusWright Hall of Fame, honoring those individuals who played an integral role in shaping the online travel industry.
Lugli is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, the leading source for global hospitality
expertise, represented by over two hundred of the industry’s most respected professionals from across six continents.
Lugli has also been recognized as one of the most influential women in hospitality technology by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), as one of the “Most Powerful Women” in Travel for 7 years by Travel Agent Magazine, and among the top 75 hotel executives and top 10 technology experts by Lodging Magazine. She has also received the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) Award of Excellence, as nominated by
HEDNA members.
In addition, Lugli was Non-Executive Chairman of Global Hotel Alliance, the world’s largest alliance of independent
hotel brands, providing an industry leading loyalty platform to over 550 upscale and luxury hotels across 78 different
countries, and is on the board of iVvy.com, a leading cloud-based event and venue management platform. Lugli is a
mentor for the NYU Tisch Center of Hospitality Innovation Hub Incubator program. She also serves as an advisor to
Simplenight, a global technology company offering innovative solutions to enable brands to offer real-time bookings across multiple categories such as dining, accommodations, attractions, events and more; ResortPass, a leading day guest pass booking platform designed to boost ancillary revenues; Visual Matrix, an industry leading hotel property management software platform; Boxcribe, the first digital exchange that airlines can adopt to automate the issuance, redemption, and administration of vouchers and Vacayou, an online platform for discovering and booking wellness travel experiences. Lugli also serves on the advisory council of MMGY Global, the world’s largest integrated marketing company specializing in the travel, tourism and the hospitality industries, as well as on the Expedia IQ Forum, comprised of industry consultants and leaders who provide insight and feedback to Expedia executive management. Lugli is a frequent conference speaker and moderator on the subject of travel, hospitality and the intersection of technology. She has consistently been a mentor for the Start-Up program at the annual US Phocuswright conference, as well as a judge in its Innovation Launch and Summit programs. She is also a judge for the annual HSMAI Adrian Awards, which honors excellence in travel marketing.
Prior to forming her own company, Lugli served as the executive vice president of marketing for Wyndham Hotel
Group, where she oversaw brand marketing, distribution, ecommerce, loyalty, public relations/communications,
research and central reservations systems strategy. During her time there, she drove a $100M digital transformation
for the company. She joined Wyndham Hotel Group in July 2009 after serving in senior executive positions with
privately held Travelport Limited (and its predecessor Galileo International), one of the world’s largest global
distribution system providers.
In her tenure at Travelport, she served in a variety of executive roles in the Global Distribution Systems (GDS)
division, including senior vice president of Global Supplier Relations, managing director of airline solutions, and senior
vice president of commercial. She was also responsible for leading the company’s GDS business in the Americas and
overseeing Travelport’s Global Operations and Global Land and Sea businesses, including the development and
execution of its hotel, car rental and leisure strategies.
Prior to 2002, Lugli held executive level positions with Wizcom International and its parent company Cendant
Corporation. She joined Cendant in 1987 as a part of its Hospitality Division, serving in several sales and marketing
roles, including vice president of worldwide sales and vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
As part of her consulting practice, Lugli has served as interim Chief Commercial Officer, Americas for Radisson Hotel
Group (9/20-7/21 and 8/18-5/19), as interim President for cheapcaribbean.com, and as interim Chief Commercial
Officer for DHISCO. Lugli also served as a board member for buuteeq, Inc., until its acquisition by The Priceline
Group. She has served two terms as president of HEDNA, on the advisory board of TheBeatLive and as a member of
the advisory board of the BTN Group. Lugli also serves as a member of HSMAI’s America’s board of directors and,
while at Wyndham Hotel Group, served as a board member and Chairwoman for Room Key, a joint venture between
6 of the largest hotel companies. Additionally, she is a board member for Joe’s House, a nonprofit organization that helps cancer patients and their families find lodging near treatment centers.
