Rod is the founder and former CEO & Chairman of Viator, Inc., the global tours and activities OTA acquired by TripAdvisor in 2014. He was the CEO & Chairman of Rome2rio, the multi-modal journey planner acquired by Omio in 2019. He is an investor in a range of travel start-ups, a Board Director of Veltra Corporation (Tokyo, Japan), and of Tourism Tasmania, the DMO for Australia’s island state. In 2024 he was inducted into Phocuswright’s Hall of Fame.
