Product Description: Airalo is utilising the new eSIM feature available in new devices, allowing subscribers to add a new connectivity plan to their device by simply scanning a QR code instead of inserting a SIM card. This enables Airalo to provide travelers with eSIM-capable devices the opportunity to add new local connectivity plans in a matter of seconds no matter where they are without distribution or delay. Airalo has collected local connectivity plans in over 130 countries for travelers to add to their device to avoid roaming fees.
Business Model: Airalo is partnering up with local telecom operators to purchase their eSIM solutions, and resell out to travelers targeted directly or through our partner channels. Partner channels could be travel related companies that can assist to either resell or include Airalo's eSIM packages as a value-add solution to their travelers.
Competitors: Currently there are no direct competitors as we are first out on the market to collect local operators' eSIMs in one marketplace and resell these solutions to travelers. But we understand competitors will come as soon as the full potential of the eSIM is more widely known.
Competitive Edge: Airalo is the world's first eSIM store for travelers to access over 100 eSIMs at the most affordable, local rates from around the world. We offer both connectivity and freedom - never have to carry multiple SIM cards or change your number again, no matter where you are.
Market Opportunity: This solution is available for all travelers with an eSIM-capable device such as an iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone Pro Max, iPhone Xs, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 4. New devices being launched moving forward (such as Samsung phones) are also to include the eSIM feature. This solution will enable users to never pay roaming fees ever again, and they will be able to connect like a local with local rates.
