Product Description: Stasher operates a marketplace platform across mobile apps and a web app. It's easy to register to become a host and be vetted by our team. Users are then able to book through our platform to store luggage, fully insured, with our hosts. We then split the fees generated with hosts.
Business Model: Stasher is an online marketplace connecting travelers with local shops and hotels who can store their luggage. Our platform provides insurance and customer support, and in exchange, we take a c. 50% cut on all transactions.
Competitors: Traditional luggage storage facilities, a small number of similar platforms.
Competitive Edge: Stasher's product team has created a cutting-edge solution and quick execution, while first to market has secured the largest hotel deals of their type within the industry. Building exclusive relationships with the likes of Premier Inn (as hosts) and Sonder (as referrers) has helped to quickly build a moat.
Market Opportunity: Nearly 400M bookings a year are made with Airbnb and Booking.com alone. These platforms, plus many others, represent a huge opportunity to service vacation rental customers around the globe. This is before considering hotel guests (c. 25% of users currently), event goers (10% of users), daytrippers and locals (20%). The market opportunity is estimated to be in excess of $5B.
Early Customers: Whitbread, Accor Hotels, Sonder, Hostmaker, Airsorted
