Product: Grapevine; Grapevine Premium
HQ: London, UK
Principal(s): Jack Dow, Founder & CEO
Funding: Grapevine has raised £800k to date and is currently raising a Seed investment round
Product Description: Grapevine is a first-to-market AI technology that empowers travel businesses to identify missed retailing opportunities from data and optimise booking revenue generation through intelligent, post-booking remarketing. We're starting with Business Travel where $84bn in revenues are currently being lost to 'off-platform' bookings. Think Klaviyo / Ometria for travel.
Business Model: Grapevine: Hybrid Subscription and Revenue Share (TMC)
Grapevine Premium: Subscription (Corporate)
Competitors: ReTravel (now acquired by Atriis). Mezi (acquired by American Express in 2017) was previously playing in the same space.
Competitive Edge: Grapevine is the first to market in a new and exciting remarketing category in travel. They have built deep relationships within the industry and have several channel partnerships facilitating a rapid route to market strategy. They have also built brand recognition through multiple awards & publication features in the US and UK.
Market Opportunity: $84bn in core ancillary and in-destination spend is currently being leaked by TMCs in business travel alone, with a further $9bn+ in revenue for supporting their corporate clients also being missed. With business travel only representing 12% of the total travel market, the opportunity to move into new verticals is also huge.
