Frederic Lalonde is the CEO and Co-Founder of Hopper, the smart way to book travel on your phone. Combining massive amounts of data and advanced machine learning algorithms, Hopper predicts and analyzes airfare and accommodation to save users money and enable them to travel more often. It has received accolades such as Fast Company’s Most Innovative Company in Travel 2018, Apple’s App Store Best of 2015 and the Google Play Award for Standout Startup of 2016.

Based in Montreal and Boston, Hopper has raised $235M CAD in funding to date from Brightspark Ventures, Accomplice, OMERS Ventures, Investissement Québec, BDC Capital IT Venture Fund, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), and Citi Ventures.

Fred previously co-founded Newtrade Technologies, which was acquired by Expedia in 2002.
