Chinmai Sharma is SVP and Global Head of Lodging, Ground & Sea for Sabre Travel Solutions. Sharma provides leadership and general management in developing and executing the overall strategy for this segment. He oversees the end-to-end responsibilities of a team of direct and matrixed leaders that includes sales, account management, product management, engineering, finance and marketing.

Considered a thought leader in the travel industry and previously named one of the ‘Top 20 Extraordinary Minds within Sales, Marketing, and Technology’ by HSMAI Europe, Chinmai has more than two decades of global experience. His areas of expertise include Commercial Optimization, Distribution, Strategic Marketing, and Technology.

Before joining Sabre, he served as President - Americas for RateGain, a provider of SaaS solutions and one of the world’s largest processors of electronic transactions and price points for travel and hospitality.

Prior to RateGain, Chinmai was the Chief Revenue Officer of Taj Hotel Group where he was responsible for all commercial activities for a multi-billion-dollar operation. In addition, he has held leadership roles with Starwood Capital Group, Wyndham Hotel Group, Joie de Vivre Hotels, and Expedia.com.

A Hotel Management graduate, Chinmai has a B.A. in Mathematics and holds a joint MBA from IMHI/ESSEC Business School, Paris, and Cornell Hotel School (M.M.H.), New York.
