I didn’t find AI, AI found me.

In 1995, I was the kid in the back of the living room watching my dad create one of the first commercially viable machine learning algorithms in the world. Not academic papers, but technology deployed in the real world to improve lives and to elevate human achievement.

That early exposure sparked something in me. I’ve spent the last 30 years exploring how technology can enhance (not replace) human potential.

At 22, I founded Utrip, the world’s first AI Trip Planning company. We helped more than 200 million travelers explore the world in new and personal ways, while integrating AI, for the first time, into some of the world's most recognizable brand experiences.

Today, I’m the founder of Brook Bay Capital, where we invest in AI and Startups building in the Greater Travel & Lifestyle industries. I also sit on many Boards, advise CEOs, and mentor startups across the hospitality, fintech, lifestyle, and AI sectors. My goal is always the same: to help visionary people bring meaningful, resilient innovation into the world.

People call me an AI expert. I prefer “someone who’s just been thinking about this longer than most.”
I believe in nuance, long games, and building with humility.

When I’m not investing or writing, you’ll find me doing 7-mile walking meetings, playing with my endlessly curious kids, or reading philosophy with a plate of hummus nearby.

If you care about human-centered innovation, or if you’ve got something brilliant you’re building, I’d love to connect!
