John Lyotier is the founder and CEO of TravelAI, The Travel Memory Company™, a Canadian technology company building the products and AI infrastructure for the next era of travel. A values-driven entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience across technology startups, John has built and scaled companies spanning consumer platforms and enterprise software, consistently working at the forefront of major shifts in technology.
Today, John is leading TravelAI's work to build an Agentic Network for travel around four connected pillars: memory, trust, governance, and distribution. That vision is taking shape through initiatives including Traveler.md, an open standard for portable, traveler-owned memory, and the Governed Memory Platform, which is being developed to help businesses govern how memory and AI are used. At the heart of the work is a belief that travelers should be able to carry what matters with them while remaining in control of what is shared and with whom.
John writes and speaks about the changing relationship between technology and travel, including how AI agents, portable memory, and trust will reshape the way people plan and book. His ambition for TravelAI is to make travel better for one billion travelers by 2030.
